It doesn't get cool, it didnt start cool. How well a forum does is largely dictated by its community. If you guys are lame and post lame topics, it will never be cool. There is no amount of moderation in the world I could impose that could save it from the community at large creating a giant shit pile and rolling around in it.

The best we can do is try to let good people in. If we fail, and its possible we already have, this forum will suck.

Okay, but what freedoms do we have to be cool? GAF has the dickheaded elitists and fanboys that feel great bullshitting around. OA has the freedom to say what you want so if somebody is being an elitist or fanbody you can tell him to go fuck himself and anything. What can't we do that we would normally do at other forums?

I agree Willco. There's a thread for rules at the top, but my moderation rules which do follow the overall rules are simple:

No blatant racism

Pedophelia and Furries are NOT cool and will not be entertained.

You can say what you want about the moderation. You can call me a dumbfuck, you can say my taste in anything is complete shit, but the instant it affects the experience of other members, the situation will be moderated. (ie thread spamming, things like that)

Porn pics arent allowed. You can find porn on google, google is better at finding you porn.

Personal Attacks are not allowed. No, you can still call someone fuckhead and tell them to shut their traps, but the instant you are assaulting anything beyond this forum the situation will be moderated.

You cannot bash GAF or OA here, period. That's not what this place is for.

Sure this place will probably never get bigger than GAF, and may just be on par with OA, but this was never about grand plans. Its about having a place we can say the word FUCK and not worried about sponsors who spam us with SHOULD NICK GET HALF or JOKE A DAY beating up the admin and forcing censor.

You can make personal attacks as long as they're relevant to the matter at hand. On the other hand, I imagine that if you start pursuing someone -- like, say, Jotaro -- across multiple threads and turning each conversation into a discussion about him you'll find your mouth pressed to moderator ass real quick-like.
