That sucks. It's not like this is some sudden decision on your part, or you promised you'd stay for x amount of years.

Sounds kind of like my mom. She doesn't really have anyone and became major depressed when I started getting ready to move out. I'm much happier now though.

As far as your mom, it sucks and is hard, but you have to do what is best for you. She's your mother, so she should want the best for you too. She paid bills on her own for, what, 18 years? She'll figure it out. You gotta distance yourselves from those toxic, one-sided relationships. I think you'll be much happier on your own.

I think after a few months your mother will adjust. The best thing you can do is assure her that you'll be coming back regularly and then she'll probably eventually also enjoy having that space from you.

you should look into some wire tubes to rail them along the walls. I can't remember the brand but I bought some at home depot. they're inexpensive and you barely notice them, so if you're crazy about wire management, they're really helpful.

I'm gonna be doing some serious cable management work eventually cuz behind the tv is a nest and under my desk as well.

Really glad I bought duct tape. There's a small opening between the seems at my front window and it's snowing and blowing like mad and some was getting in. Fixed that shit right up.

the last few days going into the weekend and the weekend itself were kind of hell for me. i don't think i've felt so down in my life, really. saturday i was basically a wreck.
