The first time I saw The Bore was sometime in 2006 when people here would post links on GAF (before they were quickly removed). I thought it was another OA offshoot since most of the people I saw posting were OA regulars. Since I got bored of OA years ago, I left and didn't think much of it since OA spinoff boards lasted maybe a few months at most.

I came back in late 2007 when there was cross board drama with ParticleReality/Green Man/Shark Johnson. I forget the particulars but it was something about raising money to get his sister a DS I think. Some people on GAF suspected a scam and some posts here were linked there. So I went back. I found that most of the OA regulars were gone and I saw some funny threads and some funny posts made by Drinky Crow, who was notorious for rustling the jameses of many Nintards around that time. I saw a lot of gaffers I liked and respected like Drinky Crow, White Man, Patel, cloudwalking, PD, AdmiralViscen, lyte edge, and Himuro posting here. There was also that hilarious Gerstmann thread that is in the archives which sealed the deal, so I registered. The Bore no longer had that "OA Spinoff Shithole" vibe and had more of the old school GAF (199X to 2007) vibe. At the time, sp0rsk was doing his very best to shit all over the gaming section and GAF was filling up with /b/tards. It seemed like a nice alternative to the increasingly dropping standards of discourse on GAF.

Joined the gameshark forums in order to find out if they were going to make one for GameCube. Became involved enough with that community I was in their irc channel all the damn time which was eventually hosted on the same server as GAFs. Joined GAF, was a first responder to the Drinky Puppy thread, ties to that eventually led me here shortly after this place was created, never looked back to GAF.

One of my alts got banned back in 2008 and I remembered someone from here had been heavily alluding to the evil bore on gaf. I made an account here back then, but I forgot my login info and didn't bother making a new accnt until just last year.

I don't really remember when I first learned about EvilBore. I was around on GAF back in Aught Six, but wasn't really prolific or active enough to really be up on any of the drama in terms of following that a splinter forum was being created. When we're going back that far, things just kind of blend together, but I feel like I knew that this place existed around maybe Aught Eight or so? I remember lurking briefly and seeing some of the old names from GAF, and then after a brief while just kind of forgetting about it. Why not register? It just didn't seem like the thing to do. "Hey folks! It's me! That guy you don't know from GAF!"

I think a Google search sometime in 2010 or 2011 directed me here and I was like "oh yeah, that place." At that point, I think I lurked for a few months semi-regularly, and then finally registered an account. It's a magical tale, I know.
