Show opened at 12:00 and I had to leave at 15:00; I didn't get to everything I wanted. Behemoth dudes weren't there when the doors opened, so I wasn't able to get my AH figures signed. I did buy a great Castle Crashers figure!
I picked up a Brave Wave compilation LP with music by J-RPG composers and Eirik Suhrke, the composer of Spelunky's and some of Hotline Miami's music.
Stratolith looked good, but the guy showing the game was intently busy with someone, so I had to sidle on by.
Mighty No. 9 was not shown, and GunVolt may have been available, but I didn't see it.
I had my first Oculus experience with Modern Zombie Taxi Driver. It was surprising for a number of reasons: it was running without a hitch on a recent iMac, the Oculus model they had were low-res, head movement was natural without needed actual 1-to-1 angle matching, and I still got pretty ill after only 3 minutes or so of playing. It felt really immersive, right up until I clawed the headset off to avoid spewing. The dev said production model Oculi will have OLED displays which will only show the actual, currently-positionally-valid frame, avoiding lag, and reducing motion sickness. I am happy to hear it.
Sho Nuff's Galak-Z is a beautiful, fun game and I will buy a PS Vita to play it (it would die on my PC). People really seemed to get it after a few minutes and EVERYONE loved the robotech-style missile system. So. Fun.
