First half observations!
* US not getting possession isn't so much an issue of wastefully giving it away (like vs. Ghana) as not winning the ball in the first place. They're having to clear the ball either out of bounds or towards the half-way line where there's only Dempsey vs. four or five Belgians.
* I'm still boggled by the hate directed at Michael Bradley. I realize it's mostly coming from people who only started following the team in June, but still. Bedoya, Gonzalez, and Zusi are RIGHT THERE if you need to go all sports talk radio and rant about a player.
* Speaking of Zusi, every time he floats another high corner kick (someone tell him Peter Crouch isn't on the team) I imagine Landon Donovan watching and making the sipping Kermit face.
* Yedlin! Like watching Donovan and Beasley in 2002 when they were mere soccer babbys. Running down Hazard from behind was some Darrell Green chasing down Tony Dorsett stuff.
* Scariest moments from the US have been when they turned the ball over while having too many men forward.
Transition defense, transition defense, transition defense.
