atleast it seems like the Dutch have some good young talent -- this team deserves a fucking win. their play has amazed me during the last two world cups and the euro.

Let's be real.

Messi deserves his hard work seen through.

But Germany deserve to win just as much because they're such a great team.

Everyone talks about how much Messi "deserves" to win the World Cup but no one ever talks about how Muller and company have been playing excellent soccer and deserve just as much.

Well, I don't mean by deserve that germany neccessarily deserves it more than other teams, just that they are one of the worthy teams in general. Of course in sports you either do it or you don't, but considering the relatively high luck factor in football in general and those short tournaments in particular, there sometimes are winners/contenders that don't really deserve it in my opinion. For example germany in 2002 was lucky to get into the final and Brazil was a much more worthy champion than germany would have been.

Well they were written off before the game by almost everyone, but the game against Holland showed they are very strong and so far all is good, they could have been ahead even. I think Germany is still the favourite but they have been slightly overvalued by most due to the Brazil game. Brazil was found out again last night. Think Germany-Argentina is a far more even matched game then some thought it would be but it doesn't surprise me
