What's weird is that after you cranked up the difficultly DA:O is enjoyable despite Morrigan Dissaproves.

I'm not playing it this year anyway-NO STORY 2014 continues full force.

How did you get past feeling guilty about taking time for yourself?  I always feel like I should be spending my spare time with my wife and/or kid instead of bumming around on my dumb games.

If I weren't shit with money and prioritising other things I would definitely build a new PC. My brother bought an Xbone, so thankfully I didn't have to spend money on that, and I think I'd rather get a PC before I get a PS4 as well.

So far for me - I'm interested in cuphead and no mans sky. Stuff like Shantae too. In terms of AAA - I think the batmobile functioning as a fucking tank looks fucking distinguished mentally-challenged, but everything else about that looks as I would expect and want - so I'll no doubt get that. I'm interested in the Witcher 3, The Division and Sunset Overdrive, but I shouldn't be coming away from E3 feeling like a Grim Fandango remaster is more exciting than 99% of what was shown. Tomb Raider, Metal Gear, Halo collections, Uncharted et al - fuckin yawn

No Mans Sky blows me away most. I've always wanted a space sim where I can seamlessly fly from planet to planet -- if this shit had a Star Wars or Battlestar license attached I would probably literally be shitting my knickers and crying with joy. Without any license attached it still looks clean and gorgeous, so I'm day zero for that even if it plays like shit.

I discovered Gang Beasts this weekend, that could be really awesome when it's finished.

I actually am happy that there's no license associated with it. Who knows, if it goes really big, you can look forward to No Man's Sky on SyFy or AMC in a few years, and not having to worry about whether or not it fits in the Extended Universe canon, whether or not Midichlorians are involved, or if the other player in your lobby turns out to be your father, or your clone.

The key for me to not feeling guilty was to make sure my wife had the support she needed with the kid. I made opportunities to have time with my child, and give her a break to go out, go shopping, relax with a book somewhere. It helped my wife, and I think it made her more accepting that I wanted time to myself as well. It's more difficult to support someone else's free time bonanza if one feels like one doesn't have any time to one's self.

It's not that I really hate mobile gaming though.  I can definitely find games that I find fun on there.  I just can't get into the game on my phone, handheld or tablet.  I get distracted too easily.

Oh well, I'll stick with my dying console gaming.
