You should start taking requests to insert certain words into a random conversation. Along those lines, if you could somehow work "proboscis" into a conversation sometime, I'd really appreciate it.

It's sad to say that Benjipwns Freedom LLC recently suffered a tragedy in which all of its records were lost on a ship that sunk to the bottom of the ocean shortly after a series of cooperative investigations begun in coordination with OSHA, EPA, the IRS, DEA and other fine agencies of the federal government into its business practices. Luckily, Benjipwns Liberty LLC was recently founded in a Swiss Canton and hopes to provide further support for the production of liberty-positive emoticons and chemical waste disposal.

I was more lamenting there in general than a direct response to your post because how dare you attempt to coerce me into replying to what you want you statist pig.

How it goes Smith, then Ricardo/Say, then there's nobody (because admitting Marx is too on the nose for the "serious") until Keynes and Hayek, then Freidman. Sometimes you get Fisher thrown in there, but never Bastiat who is still in that gap between Say and Fisher. (And rarely Mises for that matter even among "friendlies" who Hayek admits he just rewrote and cleaned up around the edges.) I think sticking Bastiat and Marx in that Say-Keynes gap does a much better job of outlining political economy.

Look at us exploiting the means of production from Karakand in his own thread.

Look at the bricolage of high and low itt already. :rejoice This thread is going to deliver.

Minor quibble, it'd be Benjipwns Liberty GmbH, not Benjipwns Liberty, LLC. And it'd be founded in Zug, not a canton to be named later. :mynicca this ain't Major League Baseball, it's international tax avoidance.

#thedualities of the Red knowing more about international tax avoidance than the Black-Gold. :lawd

I have to commend you on going with the LLC doe, it's very difficult to pierce its veil, even in failed statist dystopias like Unistat.

I wish I wasn't too stupid to follow the conversation in here.
Or are you the smartest one of all being free from the weight and guilt of knowing?

(Image removed from quote.) This is because Mises and Marx belong in the Religious section of Barnes and Noble, not Business or Philosophy.
This actually makes me wonder if my local Barnes and Noble even carries anything by Mises. Human Action I would assume could be the only possible one.

The site can't tell me if a store has any copies of anything? What kind of low rent operation is this B&N? Freakin walmart can. The closest walmart near me has no copies of anything by Marx or Mises available. I can only get the Communist Manifesto and Capital sent to the store for pickup. I feel like I should spend the six bucks on the Manifesto SITE TO STORE just because duality. (Since it's the one with the hot introduction from Gareth Stedman Jones.)

I think Rand, Hayek and Freidman would be the leaders. Economics in One Lesson is probably up there. I wouldn't be surprised if more libertarians read Ron Paul's books before Mises if they ever got around to the latter.

Missed my appointment this morning because I couldn't fall asleep until 6:00.

If I can't work proboscis into a sentence prior to next session, I definitely will in next session.

And this break gives me the opportunity to come up with a better sentence in which to use proboscis than the one I hammered out while lying in bed staring at my ceiling this morning.

Oh setting the scene adds a LOT. But there is something to be said for not knowing too. You should go case by case. If it sounds completely incomprehensible without context AND imagining the possibilities could be amusing, leave it out.
