Revenge of the Sith was the first one where I realized that Star wars was garbage and has been dead ever since.

I saw Revenge of the Sith on my 15th birthday and maybe it's where my taste literately grew up. I went into the theater all excited, but right from the get go I realized it was garbage.

The terrible opening. Wham bam action mixed with mind assaulting shity droid humor. I mean Jesus, you go from Jedi spy shit then immediately cut to agonizing droid humor(from battle droids no less) that wouldn't cut it in a shitty dreamworks family film. If it wasn't apparent to me before that Star Wars were shitty kids movies before, it was in the first 15 mins of Revenge of the Sith. Which then ends with the killing of a pointless shitty villain all manipulated by the most unsubtle villain ever. I know The Emperor is supposed to be obviously bad, but the writing and acting for him is so shitty, that it feels idiotic that nobody in the actual in-universe could realize how evil he is. He's talking like when you're friends try to make a joke about pushing you to do bad things, except he's supposed to be doing this in clever and master manipulator ways. It's so bad, no one should be able to take anything he does seriously.

Accept Anakin does. Anakin is an idiot. Darth Vader everybody! An angsty idiot. Way to fuck everything up about one of the most iconic villains ever.

The rest of the movie is about fucking dumb characters being incredibly dumb. So dumb that it's impossible to buy anything. The Jedi are so fucking stupid. Anakin is so dumb that I can't believe at all that he's being manipulated the way he is. God, Grevious was so disappointing after the Clone Wars cartoons.

God I've never hated a female character more.

That entire Overly lone Obi Won and Anakin fight is so zzzzzzz inducing, yet it keeps going on and on, punctuated with some of the worst dialogue ever.

"YOU TOOOKKKKKKK HER WAY FROM ME"

"YOU HAVE DONE THAT YOURSELF"

And it concludes with Darth Vader yelling like a vagina.

"I HATTTEEEEEEEE YOUUUU"

A my chemical romance song should have been playing at that point.

Yet, his transformation to the dark side is still completely nonsensical and insultingly stupid. "Hey a dude said some words to me while talking very menacingly and by the way the same dude is constantly trying to make me do things that question my faith. I have no reason to believe any of it, but hey maybe the Jedi are evil". Like wtf?

Sith basically shows why Prequels are fucking awful. A pointless and boring story that didn't need to be told, but since it was told in the worst way possible it fucks up something good about the movies and cast a shadow over them

Sith is garbage and I was instanly confused back in 05 how anyone tought this was the "good" one.
