My main issue is where I live. I've been here for 7 years and post-college life in Eugene is awful. Most of my friends I went to classes with have graduated either around the same time or a year or two after and moved away. Due to piles of financial woes, and the fact I've been unemployed for >4 months now with unemployment ending in a little over a month, I haven't had the funds to get out. But Portland is my next destination. Failing that, I have a friend willing to put me up at his place in San Francisco where, while things are much more expensive, there are tons and tons of jobs.

I just need a change of scenery. Not enough potential dates here, and the gay scene is stagnant. Pride this year was basically a joke.

You can be outraged and seek action. Note that he is not tracking these people down and beating them to death with a rusty pipe. He is turning them over to the police. Where they could then get treatment, in a perfect world. The nature of their sickness is that the vast majority of them won't ever turn themselves in until they've victimized somebody because they often do not believe they're doing something wrong.

Not at all, but weighed against the deluge of nearly everything else, there are very few examples. Again, this is for a reason. "Everything is just fine" does not make for very compelling TV. Just to really hammer the point home, take a look at the most critically acclaimed anything. Hell, top grossing movies.

"Will they or won't they" is by far the most used trope in film and TV and it ain't even close.

I have very mixed feelings about the whole teacher rape thing.
I think I've said it here but I used to work with male rape victims and these guys were like forcibly attacked, pinned down and raped and it was a horrific experience for them.
