These days, I'll come across a game or blu ray or something and be like OOOOOH I WANT THAT, and then I'll stop myself, and question why i exactly need it. There's nothing wrong with it, but there comes to a point where it feels like purchasing products is what life boils down to for many, especially when it comes to nerds. I don't think it's :experty -worthy at all to point out that people's obsessions with buying shit isn't always necessarily healthy nor constructive. Ultimately, they're just pieces of plastic, and attachment isn't good. Questioning why one needs one more plastic thing is a sign of basic awareness of the limitations of consumerism if you ask me.

I wouldn't say it's a bad thing at all. It's something I struggle with myself. But I think it's important to try and contemplate why exactly we need the purchases we make rather than just purchasing without abandon.
