And what with you and ports when it comes to the dreamcast? If so, most of these consoles don't mater anymore either since you can easily emulate most games. It doesn't matter where they showed up later, what matters is where they showed up first.
Because. The best of Saturn and Genesis for the most part, are still only available on Saturn and Genesis. Other systems, that are considered the greatest of all time - nes, snes, genesis, saturn, psx, ps2 - don't have all their games ported to other systems. As soon as DC died, every system was getting Crazy Taxi and Sonic games. Maybe DC wouldn't be perceived as this if they had waited like 10 years to put DC games on other systems. But they didn't. As an example, Resident Evil 4 was originally on the GC, right? But now you can buy RE4 on wii, ps3, 360, pc, and steam. Even ps2 if you want to. Thus, it's no longer applied to be as a GC game, and when you talk about GC's place in the console history, talking about RE4 is now pointless as far as exclusives go because you can get it for any system you want now. The same is true for Dreamcast, except, this is applied to like, almost every notable game. They're no longer DC games, they're now multiplat games. Meanwhile, Rocket Knight Adventures can still only played on the Genesis. It's still, identifably, a Genesis game.
