A lot of those gaffers are too old for disposable pop music, they just don't realize it yet.  It's something I came to grips with about a couple years ago when I heard "Call Me Maybe" for the 500,000th time.

SA Mart alone is often better than EBay or Amazon; another thing you can get is discount for the SwolePT program which is a fantastic fitness program run by fitness trainers who post on SA. Hilariously, though, despite all the things behind a paywall, the forum probably isn't lasting for longer than a year since Lowtax can't afford it at current rate of registrations.

In terms of deals? Yes.

And there's no confirmed shutdown, but Lowtax has been tweeting about it off and on for several months and the fact that Search and Archives went down for almost the whole summer due to budget issues and server mismanagement says enough about the forums' dire straits. SA won't disappear, but its forums could.

One of my old roommates was a top-tier EVE player. I remember when Goonswarm destroyed another faction's Titan that they had spent a fuckton of their resources building because they found out that the pilot was going to be AFK and somehow got his location. It was big news at the time.

Almost wish I had been active on SA back then just to be part of Goonswarm. It sounded amazing.
