Disliking Soundgarden is straight up sucker shit. I can understand not liking Nirvana and post-Ten Pearl Jam but Soundgarden was a great band with two classic albums.

I like Nirvana, good song writing.

Ten is dope but I'm not a fan of most of Pearl Jam's other stuff.

AiC was dope. Their guitarist released a solid double album a deace plus ago iirc.

I feel like Kurt Cobain would fuck with some Linkin Park. What's the functional difference there besides some turntables?(Image removed from quote.)

I was born in 85 with him to so the song just resonates with me a lot especially the friends changing thing. Middle school changed every body and started in 1997. In elementary, pretty much everyone was cool with each other. But once middle school started, cliques started forming. It was weird.

I was once talking to a girl about relationship and all that and said to her "You want the type of guy you can dress in an LL Bean catalog" and I meant it as a compliment/refocusing the conversation on her but later realized it was kind of a diss/put down too.

Anyway, all them shits is super white. Like North East White as fuck White. That's all it is I guess. Idk why I typed this out now.

:brazilcry

Someone suggest good modern rock. :brazilcry I don't follow the scene anymore.

Grantland called the Black Keys the best main stream rock band of the past 5 years, so there's that.

I think the Gaslight Anthem's latest album is supposed to be the big thing in radio friendly rock n roll. I only tolerate it because it beats all the awful copy cat synth rock/electro clash garbage that was big the past few years. Or the even worse folk rock nonsense.

But seriously main stream rock based music is basically poop these days.

redo the 90s. you skipped... so much.

90's music will be rated much higher than currently by future generations. Underrated little decade it was.

Probably rank mine as such

60's (blues, jazz, rock, funk, etc, awesome)
80's (awesome period for music)
90's (with an arrow pointed up)
70's (good early, rough late)
00's (good early, extremely rough late)
10's (fuck pop music and rap country)
YMMV
