The thing is that he's basically right though, if he had made a separate thread it would have got killed because it would be seen as "pointless" or "baiting" or something. EV was "derailing" a thread by actually responding to people and pointing out some true things about certain sources among his rants about the fascism. He saw it as people posting Western neoliberal propaganda and he was debunking it and in a few cases he was right but generally that doesn't seem out of bounds behavior in any other thread whether it's about how the DCU is going to bomb or how Russia is going to bomb the Ukraine.
The only reason it "derailed" is because Resident_UA (Walter White avatar) would throw a shit fit and start making like ten posts in a row insulting him and demanding he be banned for even daring to suggest there's any possible duplicity going on by anyone other than Russia.
It seems like 90% of the NEWS content is random tweets and pictures with zero context now.
