Eating ass is sort of an involuntary movement effect, sort of like sneezing. If my face is down there and it's clean, I just go for it. Like, right out of the shower clean. That half life starts ticking, you don't have time to fuck around. Just do it.

I like Jason's Ultimatum, he seems like a nice guy.

But he's fucking asking about whether MI5 requires a polygraph to join when he's not even a British Fucking Citizen!!!!

And this isn't even the first time he's brought up this concept.  He PM'd me back in the day asking about the RCMP application process.

....is this just an American blindspot thing?  Do you yanks not realize that other countries tend to require that the people who work for their federal security agencies be citizens of the fucking country?

edit:  my bad, he claims he was just asking for comparison purposes.

Yeah just saw that.

The Sonic Boom OT is intense. Some sensible people are posting about how the game is awful, finding the bugs and even showing interesting stuff. There's a post from the producer of the game on how he's giving up on the sonic fanbase(completely understandable) and all that. And Huelen is straight up losing his mind not getting how people can't enjoy this game, by repeatedly bringing up how "much worse" the Lost World game is in his eyes. Which I'm sure sucks but haven't played. We might get another freak out from him soon.

Seconding the request for that producer link.  I don't blame a lot of people for giving up on the fanbase in general, haha.

Huelen behaving like he apparently is is unsurprising.  I used to wonder why he was perma'd (which didn't seem necessary back then, but when you're constantly taking the littlest thing out of proportion, people start getting tired of your shtick), but I guess his anal retentiveness and general obsession with some things seem a bit more amplified lately.  Though you can say that a lot of people's board personalities have gotten amplified since before the new console generation started.

Lost World is just a boring-ass game with inconsistent design blueprints and repetitive level design full of oddball non-Sonic-like gimmick stages (so some stages play like SMG, some play like DKCR, etc.).  It isn't as busted as Sonic Boom, and it runs at a near-constant framerate by comparison, so saying that Boom's better sounds like crazy talk.

Granted, I haven't played Boom yet and I don't want to.

I've had similar thoughts regarding superhero movies, whenever there's a reboot or whatever, there's always this instance on portraying the origin story. (Actually, even in comics.) I've never found that necessary really, although Batman Begins and Iron Man did some fun stuff with it. On the other hand all the flashbacks were the worst part of Man of Steel.

I guess really any established franchise, like the Star Trek movies. There's a cultural knowledge of the characters, do we really need to know where they came from every time? (Stuff like Harry Potter or Divergent or whatever is somewhat different since they're still making the franchise as the movies are happening.)

It's one thing I like about the way the Batman v Superman court drama film seems to be going I suppose, it would be cool to have the mystery and urban legend and so on stuff attached to the Batman character (and Wonder Woman) like they've existed already, we just didn't see them because we were watching the guy who can fly and shoot lasers out of his eyes and leveled a whole city and a bunch of Kansas, instead of laying out their life story for me. Same with Trek, he's Kirk, he's Spock, what more do we need to know?

I actually think it doesn't help new audiences and is more of a turn off. None of us fans came to Batman or Star Trek or whatever the fuck and started with their ORIGIN STORIES unless it was intentional.

I'm getting flashbacks to the thousands of examinations of the WTC footage and people claiming there is no way the damage of the impact alone could have caused the buildings to collapse in the way that they did as witnessed in the videos. And yet most experts agree, after time and research, that it indeed happened that way.

I just feel like a lot of times video footage can be perplexing, particularly when it's something that you just don't see everyday.

Syrian 'hero boy' video faked by Norwegian director

Millions of YouTube viewers have been captivated by the 'Syrian hero boy' who manages to rescue a little girl while under gunfire. Now a group of Norwegian filmmakers have told BBC Trending they are behind it. They say it was filmed on location in Malta this summer with the intention of being presented as real.

The worst part was like how it seemed like it was just at the start intertwining all the origin things and you thought they were done with them (until some obvious one near the end of the movie) but all the sudden there'd be another random one where basically nothing happens except getting Kevin Costner more screen time.

And about Huelen, SpeedStats, I've encountered his worst back in the old GAF days. Dude most definitely is on the spectrum and in a pretty bad way. Dude would lose his shit over the dumbest things. That weird green eye thing put him over the edge in the strangest meltdown I've ever witnessed in GAF. Which is saying a lot. I'm sure you remember that.

I'd heard a quite a few people may have left the Boom developer's studio back in July.  But that might be hearsay.   Either way, best to not talk to the fanbase in this case because some people within the fanbase can be obsessive to a sometimes-frightening capacity.  Or crazy-vengeful.

Yeah, I saw Huelen's meltdown before I started posting there, even with the zip file of pics depicting the color of Sonic's eyes or body or whatever it was.  I guess the train of thought would've been that he'd grow up over the past 3-4 years, but as we can see, he simultaneously has and hasn't.  Heck, I saw him scrutinizing the green eyes in the demo for the Sonic Boom 3DS game.  It's like he didn't learn after being shocked with electricity a few times and keeps going for the cupcake.

My problem with him isn't that he melts down over the dumbest shit imaginable.  My problem is that he's incredibly stubborn and won't consider some suggestions put forth by others, and his writing style can come off as irritating depending on the post.
