Wait what? I actually know someone in real life who thinks GG is important and I actually spent like at least an hour researching what the hell happened before convincing him that the female developer Zoe something was not sleeping with anyone who reviewed her games (as confirmed by her ex that she was cheating on) and that Anita was not calling in fake death threats to herself. You know, allegations made with absolutely no proof kind of should raise a red flag.

Then I pointed out how strange it was for him of all people to care since he rarely plays any games and just watches reviews and playthrough videos. That anyone who likes games would know (usually in their early teens) that reviews and articles are mostly garbage written by people who want a stepping stone job to entering the industry. So why give a fuck about the ethics all of a sudden? NeoGaf would be put far down on the list when it comes to videogame discussions. IGN is filled with spiteful but honest posters, gamefaqs has a ton of posters that either know their shit or are completely brain dead, 4Chan is a free for fall, never fucked with reddit.

For video games, the best bet is game specific ones. They usually have good resource links to FAQs or wikis and such. Discussion is another matter entirely as the people posting there are still redditors (read: garbage-brained assholes).
