I think when NBA-GAF got kicked off the forum, there was some debate about whether they should migrate somewhere or start their own forum, and I saw The Bore referenced there.

I used to make the Vita threads before the PSN thread merger / kassatsu very rudely taking over without asking anyone, and I already was kinda uncaring about the community thanks to distinguished mentally-challenged fellows like 2+2=5 and his ilk. Never mind other idiots like Blue Maxima, who thought he was some big shot celebrity just because he had a shitty Vita video channel on youtube. 

I still remember when a mod PM'd me about the Vita threads in effort to get me to remove the community aspects of it. They wanted me to make a super cut and dry OP that just had stuff like the month's releases and nothing else.

Kass's threads weren't really a problem. They started to dwindle in numbers, so I don't get why they merged the two threads. If anything, merging the two hindered Kass' store threads, which were pretty similar to the Steam threads "should I buy this game on sale" (or the Steam sale threads, really). Post merge you had the handheld "cult" talking over people that were there to discuss the store to where I pretty much stopped going in there (and then I moved to PC and never looked back)

I haven't been in those threads post Kass thread merge because IMO that's when the community got shitty. Carl and... Mortimer were both at the top of my "shitty Sony posters" lists for the handheld and in general when it was a separate hardware thread.

Most of the normal people seemed to disappear from GAF once the sports threads got banned. I say that as someone who doesn't even really like sports. Now the place seems to be dominated by people with little life experience and extremely thin skin. It's not healthy.

I got irritated at the community around the time when Type-0 was announced for the west. So toxic and immature. The #novitanobuy shit  pissed me off. And also don't get me started with that #bestonvita nonsense either.

Meanwhile Ninthings still run wild with wanting to make individual threads for every passing thought. Hell, apparently now DLC for Nintendo games and games released on the VC are both important enough to get their own OTs. Like, make up a coherent thread policy and stick with it already.

I didn't really have issue with Kass' previous store threads. Hell, i don't even mind him wanting to do the PSN thread afterwards. I just got bent out of shape cause he didn't talk to a single person who had done the threads previously if we planned on making the new ones (which we were). GAF people in general have this really awful tendency of doing shit without asking to see how people feel about things, mods included.

The forum's kinda weird to be honest, there's something about it with all the branching out in focus and design and missing features, and some people have become more serious. Man of all the titles that need extensive introduction, Harvest Moon isn't one of them.
