Did the Bay films pervert their feelings of nostalgia?

Kinda. Though it's 70's kids.

Anyone born in the late 80's or early 90's missed out on Transformers at its original peak. Being a 90's kid, I don't remember Transformers being big for my age group, anecdotal of course.

I thought nerds loved Transformers. I just remember a lot of 80s born manchildren being about that life.

Did the Bay films pervert their feelings of nostalgia?

Gotta keep in mind what kind of people had their life's happiness riding on the announcement.
Hint, it isn't the kind to appreciate good old-fashioned, patriotic American robots.

The Witcher 3 has nothing on FFXV. Come back when a dev releases a game as ambitious as FFXV on XBO and it doesn't run like shit.

I played XV, it ain't worth anything resembling high praise.
People need to stop mixing up what the product actually is (Duscae demo), with what they heard it is and most problematic, what they want it to be.
Steering clear of that thread tho, I learned plenty of lessons from Creepy Stalker.

Do they show all sorts of setups like miniature waterfalls and weird blocks and crap you don't get with the toys and nobody would ever own in commercials these days?

It was dubbed 10 years later with Egyptian-Arabic dialect. I guess it was a lot cheaper than the TF license. :tocry

It's another licensed game published by Activision. Meaning it's another game with tight budget and schedule. Yes, they took the job the stay in business. But it's going to be terrible. Book it.

Update: slated for an October release :rofl

taco furries

I seriously have no clue why there is a lot of gay furries. That fanbase from the people I know that are in it are either bisexual or outright gay.

I will never understand furries.

Never was a Transformers fan, but the animated movie is not too bad.

MGS was undergoing creator's fatigue, clearly. I'm pretty curious to see if Kojima will be able to adapt to new production constraints and be able to pull it off at a big name studio (and maybe, who knows, write a decent story) or if he will struggle like Platinum and quite a bit of other Japanese creators gone indie. I fear the man has been spoiled by years of being allowed to indulge in high levels of bullshit...

Goddamn, I miss movie magic. :brazilcry

When you would watch an anime and you'd get ridiculous attention to detail and it didn't look like something someone would have drawn in middle school.  Drawing interior of a car or a bike or a goddamn watch? Fuck it, go all the way out! :rejoice You could just tell people fucking loved their jobs and were passionate artists.

When you could watch a movie like Labyrinth and be greeted with such a beautifully directed and visually stimulating piece of work and it would inspire you.

Thank God Mad Max Fury Road exists :lawd Movie magic :brazilcry What happened? :(

Reboot aged well on storytelling and shit getting fucked alone. I rewatched it recently and it's still a great show.

Bad ass grown up Enzo Matrix.

Reboot is something I haven't seen since I was a kid. I don't know if I'd like it now but my memories tell me that it was fucking awesome. I'd be down for a reboot.

GI Joe, in hindsight, was just a ploy to sell toys. TMNT cartoon, also in hindsight, was awful for the same reason. Transformers also was a marketing gimmick.

:yeshrug

The area where 80's cartoons beat 90's was film. Indisputably.

In the end it comes down to how rigorous you are with the term 'know'. Does it require rigorous proof, or any proof at all? Is logic enough? And it also comes down to practicalities. How much is there to know? If nothing is out of the reach of science then that suggests that everything can be known - is there even enough time to know everything? Or do we have to shift our expectations of what it is to 'know' based on the limits of what it is possible to observe in a possible multiverse given a limited degree of observability, a limited ability to measure and a limited time to do it in.

Shows like animaniacs, rocko's modern life, bobby's world, freakazoid, swat katz, didn't really have toy lines to my knowledge. Could be wrong. I think there was an animaniacs game on game boy? Don't remember, but quality-wise, in terms of treating the audience like they had sense without being an infomercial, 90's wins every day. When we get into the adult cartoons that sprang up thanks to the Simpsons like Dr Katz, Aeon Flux, The Critic...it's not even close. :yeshrug
