Who's paranoid? Who seriously benefits from setting the precedent that a person is absolved of horrific crimes if they escape justice until they're geriatric?

It's either that or that new brand of one upping each other about who can pretend to be the more faux enlightened academic about "suffering begets more suffering."

I think the age thing is a common emotional response and most people are not putting in it as much tought as you currently do.

I snatched the gold from the mouths of the dead, smashed babies heads against walls and fed their bodies to the dogs because it was just the custom in my day.  Don't be intolerant of me, brosef.

And, don't you know?  It's your fault you couldn't catch me for 70 years.  Therefore, I am not subject to laws regarding mass murder and war crimes.  That's how it works, right?

The KKK was pretty prestigious, too. But as long as you weren't personally dragging black men behind your horse or hanging them from a tree, you're basically a good person!

I really hate topics like this because it's difficult to separate the people who are just products of decades of softcore Holocaust denial from the people who are smart enough to be furtive with their antisemitism.

Except for Steve Youngblood. You know his grandpa died in Buchenwald because he fell off his guard tower.

The Holocaust wouldn't have been possible without clerks, sanitation workers and other nonviolent jobs. Do you think people smash Jews in the face with rifle butts all day and then stay late at the office to make sure debits equal credits?

Even blunt instruments of the Final Solution like the Einsatzgruppen needed quartermasters, paymasters, et cetera to operate effectively.

The accused's description of the routine nature of his work and wanting to join an "elite" organization (he volunteered to join the SS and was later assigned to administrative work) rings rather a lot like The Banality of Evil, a book it sounds like you could either stand to read or reread.

The well-oiled, bureaucratic machine that was the Holocaust could not have functioned without the clerks.  Eichmann was the apex clerk.

So, would all those people be in favor of releasing murders, terrorists, and rapists from prison once they reached a certain age?

Without touching on the nazi debate, who never even had a trial or anything: What you are saying here, is pretty much what we are doing here already, so yes if they aren't a danger to anyone. We have a fairly small max sentencing, but can keep people in forvarring (flashbacks to the old Breivek debate) if they are deemed a danger for society. Palle Sřrensen got out when he was 70

how about that fashion in final fantasy huh, someone should rank that
this really needs to be done.

Tell us how you really feel about the Nomura Belts and Zippers movement.

Blazblue and its weird fashion choices like a single huge zipper on an outfit without anything to actually zip up.

Blazblue's weird fashion choices aren't as bad as Normua's Kingdom Hearts choices and his Batman redo.

I mean the more questionable one (going from CT/CS->CP) would be Noel's:

I'm not a fan of the beret personally, but the redesign was just sexing the character up for whatever reason. I mean Litchi at this point is probably the most "modest" of  the female cast.

Kokonoe and Taokaka are probably the most "modest"/restricted of the female cast on re-review unless I'm forgetting another character in the expansions from CS:Extend.

And on seeing the character renders, they don't have a belt-zipper thing going on like Nomura.

The opening trailer so as to judge the based from the pandering bait.
I suppose it isn't all just zippers, considering male characters too you've got extra belts and odd oversized ornaments like a cowbell.

Considering the overall female cast, Noel, Rachel, Tao, Tsubs, Celica are good.

Man, I forgot how pandering to Japan Platinum was.  :lol

Also looking at the males, Hazami/Terumi is the only weird "belt and zipper" one with that weird hooded flared coat.

Maybe for the latter the zippers are actually functional. But he is a robot.
Ragna and Kag have like triple belts.

Oh well, that Stylish mode and dialogue like Rachel shitting on Ragna at every chance keeps me in.

I only see a belt on Tager, not a zipper. And yeah that's weird on a robot in a design phase but whatever.

Carl's design makes sense when you consider his battle style is a puppet-master and being "theater" like his father who pretty much copied his style but added a masquerade mask to the whole thing. :yuck Clover's design. :yuck

Oh, you're right. Tager does have a zipper. Never noticed that.  :lol

In further Arc character design weirdness there's A.B.A. in GG:XX: Slash/Accent Core +R and Bedman in Guilty Gear: Xrd. Though Bedman's design was actually pretty refreshing in a 2D fighter being made 3D-avatar way.

Style and plot may be crazy but they scratch an itch that other fighters don't.
I actually like Chronphants's single player story but I don't understand most of it.

Must be the dialogue, I've had a fair few giggles so far in my playthrough.

I couldn't get into Blazblue's story mode at all. Wayyy too much time recursion and "IT WAS ME, HAZAMA ALL ALONG" for my taste. But to be fair, Guilty Gear's story mode (at least #Reloads, haven't done Accent Core's) was just as frustrating with "that man" and I-no's ending for the characters.

In any case, I'm more a fan of Guilty Gear than Blazblue, personally. I couldn't get into the "every character is different" aspect of Blazblue. Made trying to find a character to play tough.

Which reminds me, I still need to do Persona 4: Ultimax's story mode for P3/P4 and the DLC episode.  :lol

I haven't tried Gear yet.
I played some Blaz on the PSP a fair bit last year and liked it. With Chrono coming out then I hopped right on board.
MASTER UNIT TIME UNIT CONTROL OBSERVE SHOEHORNED QUANTUM MECHANICS.
Still fun.

I've played some Persona Arena/Ulti, was pretty good. Shit, I don't think I beat the single player so I'll have to dig that disc up someday.

thisismyusername

The story in the first Persona is so long and visual novelly that it kinda put me to sleep. I say that as a fan of visual novels but it just wasn't that engaging. Double so when the story beats are the same for everyone just with minor line changes. Once you've seen one, you've seen them all, so it becomes a matter of unlocking the "story locks" via Labrys, P4Maincharacter, and I think Chie then doing everyone else for the "true ending." :yuck

Ultimax's episodes seem to fix that problem, but we'll see. I have to get back to it. :lol Though Ultimax's claim to singleplayer fame is the "Golden" Aybss clone mode. I feel like that's what Aybss for Blazblue should be (unless that's been changed, Aybss in Continuum Shift was basically just survival in Guilty Gear: XX just under a different UI hood).

Persona seems like it's trying to mix Guilty Gear and Blazblue together with the characters having different systems but playing nearly the same with Guilty's speed. I prefer it over Blazblue, but I think I prefer Guilty over both. I haven't gotten Xrd since I'm waiting for Arc to smarten up and do a PC port for "dat 4K." But...  :lol :lol :lol Arc and PC  :lol :lol :lol :'(
