Its not an actual dissertation. Its someone who wrote all about the game's plot (since it's like the Souls games were not everything is explicitly laid out for the player). Its another case of Neiteio picking the most exaggerated word choice for something really mundane.

If someone took the time to write one of these for the average PS1 RPG, I'm sure they'd be just as long, if not even longer.

"Dissertation" is used loosely here, it's not actually for any academic purpose. And it shows.
I opened it and skimmed the beginning : Don't expect to understand anything if you haven't played the game, the author is mostly paraphrasing in excruciating detail the plot points of the game and throwing at you names. I don't doubt that a lot of work went into that and I guess there's some value to it for the hardcore fans of the game... but yeah.

Though you could come up with any plot you want out of the story due to it being so vague with only lore in item descriptions and dialogue to help you out. As intended by Miyazaki-Sama :rejoicerejoice

No, they're worried those hate subreddits will metastasize to the mainstream subreddits like FatPeopleHate did.

They'd need to be more popular for that. FPH regularly made it to the front page and hating on fat people is much more socially acceptable than hating minorities. I doubt dashing coontown and assorted hatemongering company against the wall will splatter chunks all over the frontpage the way FPH did, but I guess you never now who people are willing to stand with for 'free speech'...

Yup. Last wedding I went to I went stag. There was free food, free booze and free cigars. I mean it did help that there were a ton of people there I had had classes with in college, but even if there hadn't been the booze and cigars were more than enough.
