http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1084210Just got back from my first attempt at getting my driver's license. I failed. I did not turn right immediately at a green and I forgot to put my signal when coming out of an uphill park.
Fucked up at the start of my first try. Was a turn without a turn signal that got me. Aced my 2nd try
Failed 3 times in a row so I've stopped trying for now. I'm content for using my bicycle for transportation atm.

Didnt know what a 3 point turn was at the time.
I failed the written exam twice and the driving portion once.
Three.
First attempt failed due to too many errors because the instructor said I rolled through a stop sign (I didn't, had to pull beyond the stop sign to see oncoming traffic due to a bush obstructing my view but whatever)
Second attempt failed before I left the DMV because I couldn't parallel park that day.
Third attempt almost failed in the lot when the instructor saw me left foot breaking, but he said as long as I promised to never do it again he would continue the test and not give me any points for that "dangerous" maneuver.
Two attempts. I turned on a "no turn on red," an interesection they specifically take everyone as a gotcha. Also, at the end of the test I pulled straight through one parking space to another so I'd be facing outward. The guy said he would've failed me for that anyway if I hadn't also done the other thing. "Crossed a yellow line," ridiculous, especially right at the end of the test like that!
we are allowed to fail 3 times when i took mine way back when.
I passed the 3rd time around. first time i wouldve passed but i drove in an "unlabeled bike lane" which i didnt know was a thing til then. 2nd time around did a critical mistake of not the shoulder check or whatever. 3rd time had 1 mistake, also a different examiner who basically passes everyone.
Okay:
1. Some of these are just amusing in silly ways. Nothing quoted because dumb or for mockery. (Okay, maybe the written test guy.)
2. What world are people failing for one error, especially some of these?
Though my tester told me I checked my mirrors in the wrong order when merging and I only remember because he didn't tell me what the right order is, or why there's a right order out of two options. And he said nothing about the blind-spot check.
Also, he got fired from perving on kids in the showers as the gym teacher. So maybe I wasn't canonically attractive enough for him to fail me so he could keep seeing me.
Drivers ed was great, we always went to the worst parts of town to stop to get a meal or gas. That's where I saw my first pimp yelling at his hoes to hurry up with his Rally's order. He told us to "learn them rules of the road niccas", my first real male role model.
