OP needs to go to a rough & rowdy bear bar to know the fear of being a woman when around strange men.
This for real. I've experienced it myself and it's pretty uncomfortable.
Some parts of being a woman a man isn't going to understand without being told about it by a woman.
Sharing a personal story.
I was rather oblivious to how women can get harassed or catcalled just going about their business in public.
I didn't think it was a thing until I walked with a female friend in an area not full of kids or grandparents and lo and behold strangers trying to hit on them. Conversing with friends a bit and they had more stories to share.
I didn't think it was prevalent, but I'm a man so I wouldn't really know.
Kind of going off on my own tangent here. But the base thing is, men can be oblivious to how things can be as a women. They then either are willing to learn, or shut it out and pretend that it must be some harpy that hates them for being a man.
You can tell which category a man falls under listening to them talk/comment.
