Everyone goes on and on about how much they hate Taco Bell, but they still go there because it gets the job done for a quarter the price of anyone else. Which is as Mexican as something can get.

Yeah, the jumps in quality are amazing. They go from looking like segmented action figures to mannequins to something resembling actual human beings.
Not 3d or fmv or 32 bit to be exact, but I wanna talk about intros in general for a sec. I feel like they are now a lost art in games. I'm not talking about what starts when you start the game, I'm talking about an intro that starts immediately after booting the game up and the dev/pub credits pop up. Something to pull you in and make you go,"fuck ya, I'm pumped for this shit"Samples of this in action:spoiler (click to show/hide)[close]To be fair, the whole intro before start screen thing was always more of a Japanese thing, but I always felt they enhanced the game for some reason, if it was good, of course.
Also smh at Silent Hill being in this thread.
That Tekken 2 intro used to sell import copies of the game like crazy at the shop I worked at.
