WR Darren Carrington, who has been a total star wide receiver for the Ducks past few games, got busted for smoking pot and isn't going to the game. He literally couldn't wait a week? At this rate, our lack of depth is going to expose us hard. Suddenly feeling like calling in sick won't be worth it.

When you think about it, Mariotta is the best player on the field but the next nine best players are all Buckeyes. Oregon's run game was shut down, their screens were snuffed out, and their defense got shredded. I truly thought Oregon would be able to tire OSU out with the pace.

Man that suspended WR better not show his face on campus tomorrow lol. Smoke weed and get suspended for the biggest game of your life brehs...

Man that OSU o-line is godly. It was amazing last year and they managed to reload despite losing multiple guys to the draft. Very good guard play all day. I hope the Lions front office is watching.

The most impressive thing about OSU was their ability to tackle. You rarely saw any yac in either game they won. In both fourth quarters they were lacing dudes in bounds and keeping that clock rolling.

One of the most surprising seasons ever for the program.

Being perenially #2 or #3 or #4 is ok. The real problem is our defense. We won't ever get a big title until we get a good DC and bigger guys. Fire Don Pellum.

Mariota deserved so much better going into the NFL then this. The plus side is that he will probably go to the Eagles now in the third round.

Told ya bro.

I thought Oregon was going to win until that 97 yard drive. You guys have some monster DE's but they were physically worn out by the end of the 1st quarter. You guys really need to add depth on your D-Line.

I don't think Mariota slips too far man. He was clearly the best player on the field.

That's something that only about 4 teams in the country can reliably do, especially since you need good genetic talent to shore up a strong D-line. But in reality, the (four) losses to our passing game shanked our offense and we couldn't capitalize on the many turnovers our D was forcing on OSU.

The mega cast (6 coaches watching the game) on the other ESPN channel was amazing to watch. I didn't start watching it until the second quarter, but I was completely hooked once I got used to it.

I don't know if ESPN will rebroadcast it, but you should definitely check it out if they do.

Soooo what does OSU do next year, QB wise? Barrett and Jones are better than Miller, who is coming back. I think Barrett is their best player but it would be hard to take the job away from Jones after these last three games.

Best guess?

Miller transfers as he has already graduated and won't have to sit out a year.

Jones probably has to start as this point, then goes pro after next year

JT Barrett takes over after that.

But who the hell knows?

OSU makes the Big Ten relevant. And recently, MSU. Barring sanctions OSU is almost always a top ten team and hasn't struggled against power 5 teams. Next season it'll start the season with two teams in the top 10 (OSU and MSU).

Ultimately the Big Ten now has three of the top 10 coaches in college football (Meyer, Dantonio, Harbaugh), Penn State is coming back (unfortunately), and Wisconsin is good. The conference will be quite relevant in the coming years, and I think the playoff commission made it clear that winning the Big Ten is almost a surefire way to get into the playoffs. The way the SEC is set up makes it very hard for them to get two teams into the playoffs.

I wonder what's going to happen with Nebraska....they seem to be sinking faster than they can swim.

Hopefully this title will make recruiting easier for Maryland and Rutgers moving forward.

Getting close brehs :lawd

Lots to look forward to, especially in the Big Ten. Harbaugh's debut, MSU's consistency. Will be interesting to see how Braxton Miller works as a WR for OSU. That offense is insane.

Also interested in seeing if Texas can take that next step. I'm not a Texas fan obviously but I like Charlie Strong, definitely hoping he succeeds.
