Got a promotion to a different position, responsible for a budget of over $275 million per year, several times greater than what I have now.  I'm one part excited and one part terrified.  Got a nice raise too.  I get to assemble my own team.

And next week, I'm moving forward from my last dead-end job to something that's much more interesting. Finally realized that Amazon's video streaming apps are store specific, not using regional store information intrinsic to user accounts, which their web stores do. I went and re-downloaded the Japanese store's app and now I finally have a streaming service in Japan. My first. A mess of stuff I've wanted to see is available for free.

I found the US streaming Amazon Video App to be shittacular. The IQ on my X1 app is also awful. I thought netflix's library was padded with shit, but Amazon is on a whole different level. The movie section is has MST3K tier crap everywhere.

That's true here, plus the civilization eschatonic event known as "anime." Not that Japanese dramatic TV shows are any better; there is a reason the shelves of video stores here (yes we still have those) are crammed with western TV dramas, and not Japanese ones.

Got some Oakley Flightdeck XM goggles that normally retail around 150ish along with two extra sets of PRIZM lens for $97 flat thanks to a cousin that works for Oakley. Whew that shit saved me over $200 easy, the lens alone are expensive as fuck, let alone two extra pairs!  Set for the last run out to Mammoth Mnt next week.

This election cycle really contributed a lot to me mentally checking out at any mention of Bernie, Hillary, Trump, Cruz, GOP, Congress, etc.

It probably always was this bad, but I've definitely started losing interest faster this go around.

I don't know if it's heated up more this year, or if I just care more. It feels like the seats are more hotly contested, and it would be harder than ever to argue that "there is no difference in the candidates."

Finally ended my horrific two month long post-heartbreak cold streak with a random. She got the job done, but tbh this wasn't one of my prouder conquests. From what I recall (which is not much), she did drop the n-word multiple times in front of a black dude at the bar, saying it was ok because she had a half black child. It wasn't with a hard r at least. Pretty sure I took off my condom at some point in the night because I'm a disgusting piece of shit so hopefully I didn't nut at all or else she might end up with an all white baby to go with the half black one. But anyways, now I can mention this to a few mutual friends of the girl who hurt me so that hopefully the news will get back to her and make her feel bad.
