Shout out to one of the best ever at their peak. I expect hate, but that's ok, they were hated in their own time. While the rest of the lame flower child frippery was plaguing rock music they were making post apocalyptic, psychedelic, nihilist swag . too much direction. too epic. too full of intent they were able to romanticize experience. They might have had a very very short peak before the drugs kicked in and their souls were drained out, but yeah. best of their generation

Not only are the shitty keyboards among the biggest problems with the band, but Ray Manzarek is also an awful cunt that has fought hard to try to make sure The Doors secure a legacy. Much like the KKK, most people today recognize The Doors as a joke, but they similarly will probably never completely go away

it's less about virtuosity and more about musicality, i.e. whether it is or it ain't got that swing.
