I still take them on an individual basis. There are some remasters that interest me. And some that don't because I'm just tired of the original franchise in the first place and don't want to play anymore.

I would mind a remaster of Red Dead Redemption for example.

But "remastering" stuff like I'm already burned out on is a no-go.

well something you can't say on another forum would be the observation that it's much more cost effective to say, upgrade a video card for a few hundo and enjoy countless "remasters" of video games you already own...

but hopefully they remaster the corny ass writing in god of war 3 too.

god of war 3 isn't a particularly good game and sold on its own for $40 sucks.

some remasters I get. like last of us and gtav are effectively goty-editions on new hardware. remasters last gen generally were collections and priced appropriately.

Yeah this kind of remaster I don't get. Years old HD gen game not even asking for an upgrade. Not even the latest one in the series no less. Not even a bundle? Like WTF is the point?

I can understand late gen remasters. They are effective goty editions and quick new console tests. I even can understand PS2 HD collections, because it's hey lets give these 10 year old plus games that people like another go. Cool.

But this is the most unreasonable and pointless HD remaster yet.

Plus God of War is trash.

I skipped a lot of games the past generation or two so I don't mind remasters. Fuck if I'm going to pay full price for them though.

It is a shame that the PS1 and PS2 Classics games are not available for the PS4.

well, DMC4 remaster is adding in all the PC extras, plus playable Vergil, Lady, and Trish. i'm doing a 180 on remasters for this one. GOW3 probably just gonna be 60fps as the main selling point.

Well, sure, it depends on what they do with this stuff. Previous gen game from 2008, given improved visuals and new content? Sure. Port-up of of game from 2010 with just a bump from 720P to 1080P and a photo mode? Fuck off.

I'll take a mass effect rerelease. I wanna replay the trilogy on pc but there's no way I'm buying all that separate dlc again, especially for a version that doesn't support gamepads.

don't care about Uncharted rerelease bc the games already looked good the first time around and they're not that exciting to go thru again.

Go mess around with Origin a bit, you should be able to get it to recognize the Mass Effect DLC you've purchased without too much trouble.

You mean from console? Because if so, no that's not possible.

If you mean from PC->PC: Sure, I guess. But it's still a pain in the ass they don't put the DLC on the Origin storefront.

All the Mass Effect 2 and 3 DLC can be purchased through Origin, you just have to go through the My Games tab rather than the main part of the store.

I just got an xbox one and I'll only buy remasters for games I haven't played like Assassins Creed Black Flag, because what's the point? It's funny how some games like BF basically just get a resolution boost/locked 30fps while games like GTA5 are redone from the ground up.

I wouldn't want to replay my favorite games from last gen like Mass Effect or Red Dead Redemption since I already beat them so there's nothing new to get out of it other than better looking skin shaders. I don't have the time or money to spend on that.
