actually I was pretty reasonable in my twenties, thanks to a takes-no-shit boss at a print production joint I worked for for a year between community college and my 4 year (I was about 20?). I wasn't a dick, but I was definitely punching above my weight in confidence, and she sat me down once and showed me exactly, with revenue numbers, how much I was actually making for the company vs everyone else.

I do think its easy to say "live life how you want, give no fucks what anyone else thinks, have fun" when you accomplished that in your own life.
