As a role player, I think I'm just going to wait it out, wait till the game loses steam and hype, then see how people feel about it. As good as it looks, there's too many variables that could make for a much worse game for what I want from fallout. Which is fine, a part of my apprehension towards 4 to begin with was that I highly doubt it'll top New Vegas. I realize now that I'm not really the target audience here and I'm fine with that. I have alternatives like Witcher 3.
When it comes to what dialog choices will be provided, I can only see three or four "main" role playing narratives for the player character.
A. Attempting to make the world like it once was, peaceful suburbia, normalized civilization. The quest to reclaim the past.
B. "Fuck it" attitude. You despise what life has become, all the things you lost. You'll be a huge, evil asshole that wants to ruin the world your own way.
C. Neither of those attitudes apply, you want to do your own thing for the benefit of yourself and maybe some others. You don't want to fix or ruin the world, you just want to make it better for yourself.
New Vegas has a lot of ambiguity when it comes to your role in the Wasteland and the roles of others. I don't see that ambiguity coming back at all.
