The game is terrible.

I can't say I'm disappointed, as I had no expectations of quality, but I was hoping the game would be great. The
naively optimistic narrative in my mind is that they were doing something special, something that required a much larger and skilled team to fully realize, but stuck to their guns of being a smaller development team to not compromise their vision.
But nope. Turns out the team just lazily slapped together existing gameplay/mechanics from their previous games, hobbled together a PS4 port of their ancient and ramshackle engine, and bilked Sony for 11 years. It's really unfortunate.
