Remembe that one Team Ico game that looks like all of the other Team Ico games and it's probably been done for years, but it just hasn't come out? Yeah, it's coming out in 2016

The technical stuff is super disapointing but everything I've seen looks really good. I may end up getting it from someone for Xmas.

I can't say I'm disappointed, as I had no expectations of quality, but I was hoping the game would be great. The naively optimistic narrative in my mind is that they were doing something special, something that required a much larger and skilled team to fully realize, but stuck to their guns of being a smaller development team to not compromise their vision.

But nope. Turns out the team just lazily slapped together existing gameplay/mechanics from their previous games, hobbled together a PS4 port of their ancient and ramshackle engine, and bilked Sony for 11 years. It's really unfortunate.

I picked it up, but haven't played any of it. Seems to be a good game. Can't say I'm a big fan. I liked Shadow for its scale and how cool climbing big monsters was. Also the music, but not because of the story or anything. Never cared about Ico. Wonder where this will fall. The scale of the levels seems cool.

Mue 3 is projected for this time next year, if it meets that it'll be out before Bloodstained which is currently set for sometime in 2018 I believe.

Seriously, fuck this game right in its dogchicken asshole.  What a pile of crap.  I loved Ico and Shadow but this one is fucking balls.  It controls like I'm steering a wounded bobcat with a loaf of bread, the camera seems to focus on the dog's butt leaving me essentially blind a lot of the time, and I've seen Viewmasters with better framerate.

Fuck this.

EVERYONE ELSE: OMG, this game sucks. You have to tell the dog/cat/bird thingy what to do like ten times before it obeys and then sometimes it still just does it's own thing. It's buggy and finicky. You put the food right in front of its face but instead it sniffs in a corner for two minutes at a time and won't listen to you at all.

ME: OMG, THIS IS THE MOST REALISTIC ANIMAL AI I'VE EVER SEEN!



I seriously loved this game so much.  So did my dog (except when he didn't).
