There's no middle on GAF because if you declare you're not automatically on the hivemind's side, you get hit and dog-piled with "so you think both sides are the same" insults until you give up and leave the discussion (which is a 50-50 chance of you eating a ban) or give in to the dog-piling and take back all you said. Who would want to deal with that? It's no wonder GAF has become more and more of an echo-chamber in recent years.
