Nobody should be surprised that the PS4 and Xbone are struggling to keep up with the PC. There was never any illusions here - both Microsoft and Sony essentially spec'd a low end PC, a low end PC in 2013. In 2015, it is ancient. In 2018, it will struggle to run low taxing PC games on the lowest settings. At the time nobody cared because there was an INDIE GAMEZ REVOLUTION and nobody was going to bother to push the weak specs of these consoles. Considering how this generation will likely last as long as the previous, fanboys better get used to the idea that the consoles aren't going to offer a PC level experience. Fortunately publishers not named Blizzard or Valve can't eat off of the PC alone so they will likely work with downgraded specs so console ports won't look entirely embarrassing. Funny thing is that the NX will probably be even weaker than both the PS4 and the Xbox One.
Also I agree that Halo doesn't mean much these days. The Halo 2 and 3 launch events were pretty big news but it has been a decline since then. I can't blame the watering down of the franchise (with Halo Wars, OSTD, and Reach) nor can I blame it on the fact that a bunch of nerds hijacked the story so it turned from a fun multiplayer game to some scifi crap. COD just eclipsed the game as a multiplayer shooter. Halo 5 is barely relevant these days and it has nothing to do with Destiny. Halo died when COD4 came out, whenever that was, Microsoft is just insistent on fucking the corpse for a few more games until Halo 6 comes out, they purge 343, and we never hear about Halo again, unless you want to see some Rule 34 Cortana nudez.
