I blame the constant need for rape and over the top violence on the fact that everything apparently needs to be grimdark since at least the late 90s.  This especially applies for nerds because they've equated being dark and edgy with quality and depth.  I think it's because they also equate it with maturity, which helps justify why they're 28 years old and are still obsessed about comic book movies.

That GoT thread is pretty telling, you can read stuff like "brutally realistic" and "life wasn't sunshine & lollipops in the real middle ages". Speaks volume about the horrible vision those people have of life.

Recently, women who are simultaneously muscular and very voluptuous have become a fetish for me. I've always told her since day 1 if we had a boy I wanted to name him Galahad after the knight. I personally think its a beautiful name and one that cannot be butchered. I live in Miami and EVERY pretty first name you can think of gets butchered when translated to Spanish. Everyone is telling me it's a horrible name and I'm ruining his life but I don't know I personally think having a unique name builds character and he will ultimately appreciate it.
