Who gives a shit? The series has been on a downhill slope since 5 released.

No, I was right the first time. 4 is where the series started to turn into a shootbang. Good game, but not a good series entry. Mikami directed or not.

Just because it's your first Resident Evil and the one that was (formerly known as) exclusive on Nintendo, does not make it a good Resident Evil game. Sorry.

Yeah, but it was still a good game.
5 was mediocre through and through, and 6 was outright awful. I heard multiplayer for both is pretty good, but I never played that.
Nah, man. 5 is solid like 4. 6 is the one where I started to have major worries for the series. Well, 5's ending (killing off Wesker and fucking about with the cannon of the series in an attempt to soft-reboot, this has always been Capcom's goal since then but fans
clearly don't want that) was that point, but still: 6's gameplay and entire story and all that has made me leery about the future of the series.
But 4 and 5's gameplay (which is a clone of 4)'s is solid. Just not what I come to the series for. Revelations 1 wasn't
terrible but I didn't care for it's setting or story at all. Raid is also (IMO) pretty boring compared to classic and "new" Mercenaries mode.
