Who gives a shit? The series has been on a downhill slope since 4 released. Writing all that bullshit that I'm not going to read because Capcom simply won't do survival horror anymore and it's pretty clear from the numerous shootbangs and them attempting to do PT here.

I just want my fucking campy series. Why can't Capcom do that? "NONE OF THIS WOULD'VE BEEN CAUSED IN THE FIRST PLACE, THOSE LIARS."

Playing RE5/6 Co-op is some of the best gaming has to offer. They are shit games, but playing them with someone else makes it so much fucking fun.

But see, that's not why I come to the series. I come to the series for single-player and not having to deal with other people. (Plus zombies, which have been taken away for a long while now) Them doing a P.T. clone brings some of that back, but not all of it.

REmake is the best RE game ever, and I'd love a return to that kind of gameplay.

No, I was right the first time. 4 is where the series started to turn into a shootbang. Good game, but not a good series entry. Mikami directed or not.

Changing Spock that way was the best decision they made. So much better than the campy dialogue they stuffed in the original series to show his emotions in the most unemotional way.

I'm not even gonna get started on the action/characterization quality and balance. You want the exploration side of Star Trek, you watch one of the series. That shit can only fit in the background of a movie.

Spock being the most emtionally unstable person on the enterprise was the dumbest thing ever... although the whole movie was just a dumb action film set in space.

Star Trek is dead.

Not really. Spock is half human and struggles to keep his human emotions in check, which leads to him losing his shit. The reboot is the best thing to happen to the franchise in 2 decades.

Just because it's your first Resident Evil and the one that was (formerly known as) exclusive on Nintendo, does not make it a good Resident Evil game. Sorry. :yeshrug

Yeah, but it was still a good game.

5 was mediocre through and through, and 6 was outright awful. I heard multiplayer for both is pretty good, but I never played that.

Nah, man. 5 is solid like 4. 6 is the one where I started to have major worries for the series. Well, 5's ending (killing off Wesker and fucking about with the cannon of the series in an attempt to soft-reboot, this has always been Capcom's goal since then but fans clearly don't want that) was that point, but still: 6's gameplay and entire story and all that has made me leery about the future of the series.

But 4 and 5's gameplay (which is a clone of 4)'s is solid. Just not what I come to the series for. Revelations 1 wasn't terrible but I didn't care for it's setting or story at all. Raid is also (IMO) pretty boring compared to classic and "new" Mercenaries mode.

LET'S DO A POLL! :doge :doge :doge

I have to say even their automated cries of "Sony wins E3" have seemed more empty and jaded this year. I mean how many times can you feign excitement for games that are potentially years away?

It's also been very noticeable that The worst of the Sony zealots have been very agitated the last few days. I mean Sony not having the Neo at E3 already had them on edge. Andrew House's shaky foundation, damage control interview had them scrambling.  I think a lot of them sense that Sony has nothing to 'counter' the scorpio and so have deftly switched up their narrative, after years of orgasming over the PS4's power, these guys are suddenly all about the games. Power, resolution or specs no longer matter.  It must have been a different lot of fans I saw in the digital foundry threads week after week, needing to be reassured that they had the best console version.

I mean when have they not shouted from the rooftops when they have a power advantage? The PS4 reveal was basically a masterstroke. A massive well deserved shit on MS specs for the X1 and Sony did it with glee and abandon. I think once Sony mans up and shows the suspected specs for the Neo we'll be seeing some meltdowns.

Also how come suddenly all these guys apparently have monster PC rigs.  :lol

Really though let's be honest, virtually every last soul in D.C. will do everything in their power to murder as many foreign people without running water or education beyond the third grade because their constituents are perpetually afraid of things they'd understand more if they spent just 15 minutes a week trying to engage with something remotely international. I for one am glad that Hillary has the guts to bloody her hands to keep America safe.

Having to read more handwringing from the bleeding hearts in OT over drone strikes is a small price to pay to keep ISIS out of our streets.

He made some odd choices of what to emphasize and not, like the focus on currency. The difference between currency and a labor slip isn't a hair I would split in an introductory. Also, no Bob Avakian at all, even though he eliminated all contradictions through the new synthesis and disproved capitalist lies about the non-existent Maoist/Marxist "terror" that never occurred in any Asian nation in the 20th Century.

Also the NEO isn't really that much more impressive specs wise than a base PS4, and you aren't even required to develop for it.

That Andrew House interview where he declared that the point of Neo was not competing against MS, but trying to prevent PS4 players migrating to PC, now competing against PC ecosystems and wanting to create an apple style walled garden being ignored and handwaved away was incredible after years of GAF screaming how there should be no more walled gardens. Even though it was significantly more asinine than anything Spencer said this week and a clear 180 from Sony's 2013 stance of "PS4 is open. Devs can ship on PC. For the gamers" to "Fuck anyone not playing on our platforms. We're locking this shit down because we don't want you playing multiplats on PC". Saying you have a "Beast rig" but "PS4 and PC is the way to go. Still buying a neo" is some insane cognitive dissonance and damage control even for GAF. That interview also somewhat confirmed that roadmap for Neo where it will be in stores soon after the announcement like Apple so October 2016 seems the most likely day. Didn't even stop on the fanfiction crowd who were claiming Sony was creating a switcheroo again and going to make Neo more powerful though.

If you want to know approximately when the PS4sortaK is coming out, look to Gamestop. They dropped the XB1 trade value a few days before the XB1S announcement.

PS4 trade values bombed at my local CEX and Gamestop soon after Sony confirmed the Neo was real. Digital Foundry is saying their sources are "This year" as well. So it's pretty clear it's this year.

Some hilarious justifications going on in here. Wanting to pay another $400-500 just for Uncharted 4 in 60FPS :doge

lol like scorpio has a game that looks as good as uncharted 4

keep on adding those 1080s and cores and threads, it won't help.
