Because there's more to a movie than the story? It's like a million different moving parts and the story is something that gives those moving parts direction. I think it's a smart move but I'm not sure if it'll take off or not.

Unlike the Wii U, the NX makes sense. It's Nintendo realizing where they are the most effective in this landscape(handhelds) and is merging both of their division to work on one piece of hardware. Probably the smartest thing they can do in their position. But I'm not sure if a dedicated handheld device is still viable in the mobile occupied world.

I personally doubt it'll even match 3DS numbers, but as far as gambles it is the most sensible one.

I'd be fine if the NX was just a handheld Wii U in terms of technology.  Not that the Wii U is such a powerhouse but if it is too much more powerful, I'm sure the battery life will be garbage (it probably will be anyway, I don't expect more than 4-5 hours of battery life on the thing).

I don't think that's a spoiler - you can hit an asteroid (you kinda bounce off). But you definitely can't crash on a planet. There's also no running water, if you shoot the bottom of rocks the tops just hover in mid air as there's no gravity physics, if you jump on animals you fall inside them as no collision, day/night cycles take minutes etc.

Plus the game has pretty noticeable pop-in.

I commented to say the episode just came out and I hadn't watched it yet, thanks for the spoiler. I then got a lecture on 'spoiler culture' told I was ridiculous, that it doesn't matter if I know about plot related surprises in advance, I should enjoy the show a certain way, etc. I unfollowed her then and there.

I think the term 'spoiler culture' is absurd, or at least used in an absurd context most of the time. You think it's ok to blurt out the events of the game of thrones season finale on social media in all caps? That people are too 'sensitive' and story surprises 'don't matter'? That makes you an asshole, end of discussion.

Until the next episode is aired is the right answer. I unfollow/unfriend people on FB, who break the code of conduct, and so do many others in my circles. If you don't have even a slightest sense of common courtesy, don't expect people to want to remain in touch with you.
