Yeah as cool as Max has been, and as little do I actually think he's racist, it's best for him to respond himself.

 To me he obviously misspoke on a tongue twister, though it is kinda weird to randomly come up with the n word when rhyming, but arguments like "so what if he said the n-word?" or "if they can do it why can't we do it?" both miss the point and actively work against the argument.

 Hopefully he goes the extra step to please everyone and not have a questionable blight on his reputation.

Hey guys. I'd like to post this clip for clarity, as my conscience won't let me do otherwise.

After tongue twisting words multiple times throughout the stream, I said something I literally didn't believe I said until after I reviewed the footage in the morning. I was woken this morning to several people telling me that Neogaf and Reddit are blasting what I said and it's blowing up.

It was absolutely not my intention to use this word. It's disgusting, filthy and I've never intentionally used it ever in my life. Deeply sorry to anyone who thinks ill of me after this, as I've wanted nothing but to create an environment on Youtube and Twitch of kind-hearted people who I try to give back too just as much as they've given to me. The accusations coming my direction is something I've never had to deal with before, and it honestly one of the worst feelings I can remember. Especially when everything about my life, family and friends is the exact opposite of what the word represents.

I'll let the mods decide what to do with this thread. I can't ignore what I accidentally said, but I'd prefer not to be reminded of it every-time I visit the forum I've been a part of for almost a decade.

I think he didn't mean to say it and the clip he posted shows that he was saying a whole bunch of gibberish before that line, too, but there is just one thing here- The clip Max posted in the quote above doesn't show that he immediately tried to "correct" what he said by saying it again and changing that n-word part...so he was aware of what came out of his mouth, yet says "I said something I literally didn't believe I said until after I reviewed the footage in the morning" in that post.  Come on, dude.  You should have just said "slip of the tongue, sorry!" and just moved on.

I've never seen a thread that so perfectly encapsulated GAF in 2016:

- People are still unable to figure out what threads are ban bait (answer: they all are) and which ones can have discussion (answer: none of them).
- People defend someone doing something dumb because they like that person so therefore he/she/xe did nothing wrong.
- Lots and lots of outrage and virtue signalling.
- The twentysomething male equivalent of old cat ladies cheering on the moderation because God knows they didn't sign up for GAF to see something they didn't agree with.  Good thing they cracked down on those shitlords or else they would have needed to retreat to their fainting couches for the night.
- bishoptl wielding his e-peen because his career never took off and he's in his 40s now.  That must suck to know that your career stalled out somewhere in the early-mid 2000s.
- The thread went to 10 pages because hundreds of people needed to register just how outraged they were!  These people have post counts that go into the tens of thousands yet you don't know who they are because they never post any real content.

He just decided to pack up and leave -- posting one day, silent the next. He was noticeably more irritable after this year's batch of mods was announced, so I think he was feeling underappreciated and ultimately decided GAF was no longer worth his time.
