Now that Spectre has killed the franchise and Daniel Craig has been forced to retire in shame, I think it's time for a dark, gritty James Bond Jr. reboot. Who would you cast in the title role? I think either Benedict Cumberbatch's son or Idris Elba's son should star.

I wouldn't mind this. A 20-something gay James Bond that breaks the gay stereotypes (read: FLAMING GURLLLLLLLL) would be a good reboot property.

That said, I haven't seen Spectre yet. So the backlash against Craig and his run is a bit confusing. Casino Royale wasn't bad. Quantum was bad but only because they never got around to explaining Quantum/evil mega-group. Skyrim--er--"Skyfall" was pretty good and a good exit for Dench while being a character study piece for Craig's Bond. I'm expecting middle-to-good for Spectre.

I'd love to see Elba doing this, but considering casting Craig as a blonde Bond was considered controversial, I doubt they'll choose Elba despite his exceptional presence, acting chops, and charisma.

Brosnan isn't opposed to it. He supported it earlier this year. But I fee like Elba is a little old for taking the reigns of Craig's Bond. I'd love for them to just reference multiple Bonds/personalities like that "reboot" Book that changed Bond from Fleming's vision into someone that was born in 1970 and went through first Invasion of Iraq.
