Spyro's pace is decidedly slower than most everything, especially if you're trying to 100% it. A lot of the access to the gems/eggs is hidden behind puzzles. Sometimes kinda complex ones. Other times ones where you just have to look around.
I had to stop watching this and just listen because the guy playing misses an entire half of the one stage*, which anyone would really because you have to see the gems glisten across the river and glide from the peak of the level and then from there see gems glisten on another part behind the start. And the pace of the gameplay isn't all that fast in the first place. (I assume for PS1 reasons.)

Putting Tim as the interviewer in these was a great move.
