People defending a hit on the head that combined with the force of the impact against the floor might kill a person, because he's "a nazi". You know, if he did anything illegal you can just call justice on him. But never defend this attitude. There's no defense.

Nah. Fuck Nazis. Punch every Nazi right in the fucking face.

I don't post here! That's why it was so funny when SmokyDave - who also doesn't post here - went berserko on me over that shit, and tried to play it off like I'm the guy who got mad.  I don't have anything like a recognisable pattern of posting PC nonsense because I barely post at all.

Why does it bother me that the bore is slowly turning into opa-ages? Loaded question: why do you ask?

There's another forum somewhere out there making fun of this place the same way you guys make fun of GAF. :doge
I thought the icon board was closed down.

As I said, it took 7 hours, and it was my post traumatic shock response to Spicer's propaganda diatribe.

Dont want to deride engagement, effort and caring (though it reads a lot like drowning in a glass of water and muddying instead of distilling info) but :kobeyuck

Yes and I think it proves his point. The engine is good and has potential. It has the attention to detail that MGS games needed, yet the usage was just awful. FoxEngine (I think?) should get licensed. Bethesda could use it for the next Elder Scrolls or something.

I watched someone play a game of Fallout where they rolled a max Luck character. Dude would shoot a single bullet and it would ricochet around, killing everything. It was hilarious. His character had like no INT, but the Luck would trigger and do amazing things.

There's a buried speech check with which you can talk him into committing suicide. But then you have to fight his reanimated cybernetic skeleton.

That's the beauty of the GURPS-clone system Fallout 1-2 and Tactics has. It's a shame Nu-Fallout doesn't use the SPECIAL system for anything. :'(

Totally agree the technical aspects of MGS5 were amazing but damn was that game barren once it came down to it.  Would love to see a full game built on the framework but I doubt the market for open world pachislot games is very promising.

On the contrary, what spurred me to post that was the recent zerg rush of right-wingers coming out of the cracks over on gaf due to recent doings.  It's the same old shit on here, only *moreso*.  Look at the way the cumstains on the bore dealt with librealgaf's response to spencer getting decked.  It says it all.  'teh hypocrisy!!!!111' Really, you idiots?  Really?
Well, no, I just thought it amusing that to be against laws that outlaw political speech or against lynching people for speech or even punching people in general for any reason was being classified as "Nazi sympathizing" or "defending Nazi's" or "normalizing Nazism" which was only being allowed on NeoGAF.com in the first place because bish was no longer a moderator.

Funny enough, after the thread was locked, a moderator seems to have gone through and has banned the whole two people who were trying to equate it to attacks on black lives matter or similar. None of the critics of the moderation or those who were finding Nazi's under their beds were banned for it from what I can tell. (I'm assuming BernadoOne was banned for that other post that was linked on here since he was posting well afterwards.)

It is truly amazing how people take their marching orders from the Trump camp right down to the rhetorical devices and blatant logical fallacies.

The coopting of the term "fake news" is nothing short of astounding.

Downright disgusting, but astounding.

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=228888637&postcount=61
Quote from: BowieZ;228888637
Firstly, it's not "my" news and it's not "fake".

You can determine your own conclusion however you like, and feel free to agree or disagree with the conclusions hinted at by the opinion authors in some of these news articles (as pointed out in my final paragraph, second post).

But it's not "fake". You are being unequivocally dishonest when you claim that.

Let me repeat: nothing about these facts are fake.

Anyway, while what you also post are also facts (and indeed, one could spend forever compiling a massive document of facts on the history of any industry zeitgeist or concept) you seem to be missing multiple key facts. Maybe this wasn't clear to you? If so, I apologise:

1. Donald Trump has a history of business dealings with Russians.

2. In numerous statements, Donald Trump has either lied or misled about his business dealings with Russia. It's one or the other. He has either lied, or misled (intentionally or not).

3. Donald Trump has officially refused to release his tax returns, regardless of the result of his apparent audit.

4. In numerous statements, Donald Trump has advocated lifting sanctions to be able to engage in trade and business deals with Russia.

5. Donald Trump has refused to divest his business holdings, and has temporarily passed on the reins of his business to his two sons, with a self-appointed separation committee mechanic.

6. Thus, Donald Trump would factually profit from any such deals.

To clarify, this obviously doesn't in and of itself have anything to do with claims he was privy to Russian attempts to hack the DNC, etc., or that there indeed exists any kompromat. That is a separate discussion, with which you're also entitled to enter into debate. Although let it be known that it is also a FACT that Trump openly called out for Russia to hack Clinton, during the campaign.

Well at least BowieZ is teaching us that bolding must be used sparingly to be effective.

Also the political stuff bores some to tears, I know, but GAFfers thinking they're better than Western intelligence agencies at compiling public domain info is a great example of everything that's wrong with it.

It is fake news though, because it's using a whole lot of unrelated facts to try and imply Trump has ties to Russian intelligence agencies. Look at your thread title.

Your six points are fair, but don't relate to your thread title at all. They're about conflicts of interest between Trump's presidency and his business interests.
No, I refuse to concede to your false assertion that the news is "fake".

You're more than welcome, however, to simply suggest that my title was misleading (unintentional, a result of limited characters, but I'm happy to amend the OP to reflect). It is a fact that people do this sort of thing in threads on NeoGAF all the time: politely suggest the thread title is misleading, and encourage correction.

You're doing what Sean Spicer did yesterday. Rather than politely suggesting a falsehood that can be tested by other facts, you're dismissing the credibility of the whole piece of reporting by tarnishing the credibility of the facts therein.
I'm pretty sure this was the NYT's argument in the Pentagon Papers case.

I wouldn't call it fake, but I would call it an unfiltered info dump throwing every remote possible connection to anything Russian in a pile to make a larger implication. There is no context to anything here at all. It reads very much like Loose Change, frankly.
I disagree. You're conflating the publication of an "unfiltered info dump" with an attempt "to make larger implication".

I am only doing the former, not the latter.

People can draw whatever conclusion they like from this timeline of connections. Personally, I find the connection to intelligence gathering extremely tenuous, but not implausible, based on the known facts. His conflicts of interest, however, are quite obvious, given the facts.

OP of "New Info: Trump's Ties to Sergei Millian, Russian Intelligence (& Detailed Timeline)":
Quote
On top of all the obvious business conflicts of interest established throughout this timeline, the potential incriminating link is (albeit hypothetically at this stage) thus: that Putin (6 years into his first Presidency) would have instructed Millian to set up the RACC in 2006—and Yury Zaytsev of the Russian Cultural Centre of DC—in order to over time systematically build trust and forge business and cultural ties, which would provide the Russian Foreign Ministry a means to source American intelligence assets who would (unsuspectingly) help develop kompromat (KGB-style blackmail material).
