This post on your main account shit needs to stop. You have no way of telling whether it's a new account or their main account, or what. Quit pretending you do and leave that up to the moderators, whose role it is. The behavior is unacceptable.

If you want to discuss this topic, feel free, but let's try to reduce the amount of metacommentary and gotcha attempts to prove that people are hypocrites and/or alt accounts.

Says the moderation team that has a shared alt account to explain mod actions without taking the heat.

Besada is already in the thread, so expect any sort of nuanced discussion to be eliminated.

Quote
It's more "omg black people are animals look at all of them!" And a barrage of open racism online against black people. That is happening here.

No it isn't. Black people committing an obvious hate crime has nothing to do with you or anyone else black, but you choose to turn it into that.

All of these threads end up the same.

Hate crime against a black person? "See! The injustice black people face!"

Hate crime against white person? "See! The injustice black people face!"

Can people just be disgusted by an obvious display of racism without it turning into some whinefest about how people now think everyone of that race acts the same? I'm talking about HERE and the rest of the world, not by some fucking cave dwellers on Twitter who choose to turn it into some BLM thing.

BANNED

You're not allowed to be calling out moronic strawman arguments like that.

And then Evilore will show up in 3 months and whine about the increased radicalization of the discourse.

And yet, here it is, laid bare, the process through which this behavior is encouraged.

It's not like there wasn't justification for MVP to be banned under the broad, vague TOS of the site. It's that only MVP is being held to such strict TOS standards. While those that signal that they share "in-group" views go un-punished for their own poor behavior.

IMO that sort of uneven moderation, over time, is the biggest driver of the culture on GAF.

The moderation staff is signaling through their actions, consciously or not, which opinions will be tolerated and which ones will be punished by regularly applying highly uneven standards of moderation based on how a poster's opinions are perceived to align with the mod's own viewpoints and other biases.

The result of that is an establishment of norms of behavior that tell poster's that are perceptive enough(or already pre-disposed to certain types of behavior) that you can often do bad behavior X, Y, and Z with a low probability of consequence if you wrap your behavior in the cloak of these accepted positions and opinions. And if you can goat people with the wrong opinions to engage in the same X, Y, or Z behavior, the mods will often ban that person while more often then not leaving you unscathed.

So I am walking to work and I find a crisp $50 on the sidewalk which is awesome. So I continue walking a few steps and then realise there is probably even more bitchumen money around so I turn back and look for more. Unfortunately what I find is a learner's driver's license. There is no-one in sight, probably fell out someone's pocket the night before. So now I have to decide if I return just the driver's license or the cash as well. If you think about it, those licenses are $160 to replace, so in essence i'm already returning $160. Plus I looked this guy up on facebook, he studies medicine, so Fifty Dollarydoos is probably like a drop in the bucket to this guy cause he'll be raking in that doctor money.

What kind of reasoning is that ? :lol
I mean keeping it because you can't determine with certainty who to return it to would be fine. No need to contrive justifications.

:expert the official thread. Ridiculous & superficial "market analysis" is the cheap version of horse betting for geeks.

There's no doubt that Valerian is a hugely expensive movie (with a budget reported to be at 197m euros on a french business site : there's also a publicized budget recap available with info on how many days of shooting each actor had and such) and it may very well have a mediocre showing in theaters (there's always some confusion in those discussions between popularity and profitability).

Yet the fact is that right now that they already pre-sold the film for TV broadcast at the tune of 7,8m (for France only) and that they're getting 10 to 12 millions of tax exempted out of the 80 spent in France. They're also projecting 50m in sales to foreign distributors. All in all a good third of the budget might already be accounted for before selling the first theater ticket in France or in the USA. Some of all this is due to the film being classified as a french production, but most major US films, to my knowledge, do benefit from similar subsidies schemes both on foreign soil and at home.

With regards to this particular film's prospects, it's maybe more relevant to note that Europa Corp is undergoing some internal woes at the moment...

Anyway Herbie Hancock is apparently making a cameo in the film  :tophat

spoiler (click to show/hide)
Think the film will probably be meh and I will probably not care to go verify in theaters.

They have mocked corporate diversity exhibitionism but they Rogue One criticism seem to be more about how shitty the characters are, how it tries to be a war movie with a Star Wars setting (and not being succesuful in either being a Star Wars film or a good war film) or how some people have praised it for being brave just because the ending.

Lol at people still thinking Bill got impeached for getting his dick sucked instead of lying under oath about it

Not only that, but they feel someone having locker room talk "grab em by the pussy" is WAY worse than actually using the influence of being the president of the USA to get his dick sucked by an employee.

And it just still happens to be the husband of the other nominee. And they still don't get why they didn't overwhelmingly get the the women's vote.

Hows it feel knowing you're trolling your last night with this alt? Make sure to drop hints on your next activated account. I hope the next persona is as much of a weenie as this one. Please pretend to be a lawyer though, that's always a good con.
what a weenie
