What does Sylvester Stallone think of the Republican frontrunner? “I love Donald Trump,” he said. “He’s a great Dickensian character. You know what I mean? There are certain people like Arnold, Babe Ruth, that are bigger than life. But I don’t know how that translates”—he let out a laugh—“to running the world.”

If you want to look up your favorite game developers or as did one time, NBA teams, or anything else: http://www.opensecrets.org/indivs/?name=donor

Only guy in the industry that I know actually gives regularly to Republicans and more Republicans than Democrats (he almost exclusively donates to California Democrats...maybe because there are no California Republicans anymore) this is just from this cycle:
Quote
KOTICK, ROBERT
SANTA MONICA, CA 90405   ACTIVISION   6/4/16   $2,700   Heck, Joe (R)

KOTICK, ROBERT A MR
SANTA MONICA, CA 90405   ACTIVISION INC.   5/27/16   $19,600   National Republican Congressional Cmte (R)

KOTICK, ROBERT
SANTA MONICA, CA 90405   ACTIVISION BLIZZARD, INC.   10/6/15   $2,700   Harris, Kamala D (D)

SANTA MONICA, CA 90405   ACTIVISION BLIZZARD INC.   7/1/15   $2,700   Christie, Chris (R)

KOTICK, ROBERT A MR
SANTA MONICA, CA 90405   ACTIVISION BLIZZARD   2/23/15   $2,700   McCain, John (R)

Doing his part :american:

I'm actually more disappointed that he didn't donate as CliffyB than anything else. I feel like there needs to be a specific FEC exemption for this.

I notice that nobody from Red Letter Media donated to Hillary or any Democrats or anyone at all proving that they're an alt-right front organization living off Breitbart Money™.

Although there is this...and they were at one time from Scottsdale...

Times where actors destoryed their show/film with behind the scenes crap
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1331784
*Not featured in thread : Shows and films "destroyed"

I know it's not the biggest thing and it's a pet peeve but all discussions about actors (and visual media to an extent) is always constantly terrible along those lines on GAF. I don't know if it's some of that pervasive hyperbole we all live in (Watch this show get REKT) or that a lot of people glamorize those jobs so much they're missing that it's all really a workplace with any other with office politics, personal feuds and arguments.

I hope it doesn't because this is the definition of "outrage culture" and manufactured controversy. Like three posters on NeoGAF said it was bad, who cares? And now look, a thread that's quickly approaching ten pages full of people complaining over non existent outrage.

TBH at least the prequels feature new concepts, ideas, original stories etc. You know, unlike Force Awakens which is basically a worse A New Hope with more black people and women.

But that doesn't rescue from being boring as hell outside of character interactions. Finn is the only character that feels fresh for the setting (and is not exactly original on his own). Mind you, the prequels are worse films that TFA, but they felt more congruent to the universe than Rogue One or TFA.

I enjoy more Anakin complaining in a dull way about sand that Rey faux mistery or Kylo Ren trying to sell himself as the new Dart Vader

:ufup

re: the force awakens I legit rolled my eyes at han solo's comment during the starkiller base brief "they always have one [vunerability]". there's on the nose and there's being smacked on the face with a newspaper. then again the whole movie (remember the millenium falcon!) and marketing (look real grimy sets that aren't blue screen bukkake!) was a giant nostalgia dickpull.

I feel TFA did a tiny bit of world building and attempted to setup a similar path again. That's it's strength and fault, it's a note for note take on ANH. It's unoriginal but it executes well. Rogue One completely bypassed world building which lead to some of its faults.

This is the amazing part:

Quote
Self-marriage is a small but growing movement, with consultants and self-wedding planners popping up across the world. In Canada, a service called Marry Yourself Vancouver launched this past summer, offering consulting services and wedding photography. In Japan, a travel agency called Cerca Travel offers a two-day self-wedding package in Kyoto: You can choose a wedding gown, bouquet, and hairstyle, and pose for formal wedding portraits. On the website I Married Me, you can buy a DIY marriage kit: For $50, you get a sterling silver ring, ceremony instructions, vows, and 24 "affirmation cards" to remind you of your vows over time. For $230, you can get the kit with a 14-karat gold ring.

How much of a crazy bitch do you gotta be to need to hire a wedding planner to marry yourself?

There's nobody to debate decisions with. You literally have to make every decision yourself.  And why do you need help with vows? Are you going to let yourself down? There's only one side of the family to invite and you know all of them by name. Photography? You know what your wedding photography is? An even more sadder version of the selfie folder that we all have. Your photography provider is Verizon. It comes with the service. Hell, the marriage ceremony just had half the words cut out. You can probably get a discount on the ceremony. Half off for half the job. It's not real, so they don't even need to ordained. You could get your cats to do it.

I'm not judging based on the perceived sadness of marrying yourself. I'm judging based on the overwhelming narcissism involved in not only doing all of that, but also letting the world know. It's some next level lookatme-ism.

Japanese games care about details and gameplay while Western ones just improve graphics while leaving everything else behind. Nothing new.

I like Kylo Ren. He's supposed to be an edge lord and that is his problem. That's diffrent and actually engaging to me.

As for Nier, I wasn't aware there was an issue

Kylo Ren was the best and most interesting thing about TFA by far imo. Before the film came out I assumed he'd be a Vader rip off based on the trailers/media but they they went in a very different, more interesting direction.

I'd pay to see the social media/tumblr shitfest that would occur if this trilogy leads to Kylo being redeemed and Rey turning to the dark side

Huh? Fictional works have never had dark and brooding villains before?

He's from a fictional universe where the villains have a specific clothing style.

He's a child who's probably grown up hearing about nothing but the Jedi and Darth Vader. He also has probably Daddy/Mommy/Family issues and is trying to be the thing they probably warned him about the most as a child and dislike themselves.

My issue is that the film (and the marketing of that film) zig zags between showing him as a legit threat to be a teenager wannabe with hype even less earned than Anakin.

You cannot sell you Darth Vader clone as legit while trying to portray him as a try hard. Darth Maul at least had a big sword fight.

Actually the marketing is why I think it did work. I expected a Vader 2.0, but instead it all becomes clear when he removes his helmet and it's revealed he's a perfectly handsome guy underneath. There is nothing actually wrong with him and this is all a try hard act. When it's made clear that he's Han and Leia's child, I only become more intrigued by why he got to this point.

Yet, the story makes it clear from the beginning(he held the laser) that he is clearly powerful, but obviously not focused(the anger at losing Rey).

He's a pretty interesting character and probably the best part of TFA.

That California trans prisoner thread is a minefield.

That seems surprising.
