Interesting thing about that thread you linked is the amount of sports/community threads that eventually got pushed out to a different sub-forum and then most of them purged entirely. Lore's hate-boner for people making their own social circles killed the Off Topic side. What you're dealing with is what's left after the purges of various like-minded groups until there was a singular group with one groupthink left.
