I really want to play VA-11 HALL-A, so is the story in it bad? Or is it just not worth playing?

I always heard the writing was good (you're a bartender, clients gets to talk between them), I am not sure there's a plot though ?

I liked it. It's essentially a cool cyberpunk-y visual novel without the typical anime art and some drink mixing elements. Some of the dialog can go on for too long imo, so I sped through it here and there to get the gist of certain convos. The writing isn't terribly convincing but I still enjoyed it for what it was. There's enough charm to it and I dig decent 16-bit throwbacks.

Star Wars, Evangelion and Kojima games are all you need for your cultural diet. Add Lord of the Rings and you're a scholar and a gentleman. There's no real life situation, political or intimate, you won't be privy too with those insights.
