Fly fishing consumes my life. I would fish all day, every day if it didn't snow 4 months of the year, and 4 year olds were self-sustaining.

i mean even vans low are $60 now, only chucks are $50 if you buy the basics. only place you're getting under $50 at retail is at payless aka  :-X

imo a good casual shoe floor is about $250-300 msrp which can be gotten on sale for $100 or so if you look. anything less is questionable real talk.

still triggered btw.

If you want to go to bat for the accuracy of this piece from a completely disreputable source, lets start with the actual study? Because none of the right-wing sites parading this story around have it, nor does the right-wing German tabloid they all reference.

If you go to the actual departments site they list all their publications, I have not found a single one that states what these sites are claiming in those exact terms. Nor have any google searches turned up anything.

I've seen enough bullshit Daily Mail Climate Change links to know the default of anything they report is that it is at best misleading, if not completely false.

Its not like the findings would appall me in anyway, but if someone comes across this and actually vets it, why would you not just link the actual report? Something is almost always not right when a place quotes another tabloid that itself fails to source its assertions. And those assertions are not easily found elsewhere.

Nobody can link you the actual report and you won't find it on the BfV website because it isn't public (yet). I have no reason to doubt that Bild has seen it though. They might be a tabloid, but they have very capable editors and excellent sources within the government.

Thats why they have a well respected blog deconstructing their daily factual errors, poor editing standards, poor journalism and deception?
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bildblog

I mean come on now. Lets just get this straight.

- Daily Mail, a tabloid journalism with poor credibility gets posted.

- Said DM article sources a partisan, shoddy tabloid that doesn't source itself either.

Conclusion, we should just trust them for now. lol.

We talking sneakers only still or dress shoes?

Sneakers I can accept(though $50 is a bit low if you at least want some quality). I'll go a bit higher but its not necessary. Dress shoes though? You're just throwing money away long-term getting cheap shit.

I get shoes that I like. I'm just not paying huge figures for stuff made cheaply in a third world country.

Fashion is based on a need to convince schmucks they need to keep buying a type of product that was always meant for extended use. So, fashion changes, and people try to keep up. But fashion loops around. Most men's fashion can be divided into: basically same look we've had for 50 years, something that is about to be tragic, and "witness description of guy who robbed me last night."

Both Sides Are Just As Bad™ *shooting star*

The point is, the Republican senator is showing that hate comes from both sides. And NeoGAF posters going "lol fuck him he deserves the hate" is just proving that point in spades.

People definitely overpay for fashion. Like ridiculously so lol. Especially when you get into trendy shit.

Just gotta be frugal, not cheap. Cheap to me is getting cheap quality on the clearance rack. Frugal is recognizing you can get a good pair of Levis that will be of better quality and good fit for $100-200 less then some trendy designer crap.

And some things are worth it if you will use them. A pair of Allen Edmonds, taken care of, could literally last you a lifetime and stay looking good with maybe a few re-craftings.

Cheap is not even paying attention to quality. Cheap for cheap's sake. I bought running shoes, researched what shoes were good and good for your feet. Waited for a good deal on a pair that fell within those categories.

I used to work in a Big 5 Sporting Goods, and shoes were probably half our business. Basically everything above size 11 is stocked very conservatively. Some popular Asics might have 50 of the size 9s in the back, but a handful of 12s, and maybe one pair of 14s. And when the big sizes run out, they would take forever to restock them. I complained to the store manager several times and tried to encourage him to stock more large sizes, but he was all about minimizing overage costs. It often costs more if they have a couple pairs of big shoes go unsold than they lose in missed sales if they have to tell a guy with big feet that they don't have his size.

My saddest day there was when a high school kid with fucking enormous feet came in with his mom to get some basketball shoes, and I literally could not help him, because we had like two size 15s in the entire store, and he didn't like the feel of either one.

You have a big heart.

they decided to base it on historical events.[25] While it was planned for an international release, the team did not try to dilute the Japanese elements for Western players, instead focusing on quality gameplay.[21] The Sengoku period was chosen as the game's setting due to it being a fertile period in Japanese history for an action title. Shibusawa was also fascinated by Adams' exploits, and the story came to be based on the major events in his life and iterations within Japan, then an isolated nation. They also added fantastic elements such as yokai.
