Iirc, it was some thread about New Year's Eve or some party years ago, ami said he had 8 beers (I think, maybe it was 5) and then drove home at the end of the night.

Posters called him out on it, he defended his actions by saying it had been a couple hours since he last had a drink and he downed a bunch of coffee before he left.

The Rock/Vin thing was a work from the start.

I find it much more likely that Vin Diesel is totally the kind of dude who wants to simply be a serious artiste for the thinking man but is forced by powerful corporate executives to sit and watch in the corner while others (like some blockhead jock who was in Tooth Fairy and The Scorpion King) gets the limelight and all he gets is millions of dollars from front billing (and now getting producer credit on) blockbuster action films that help pursue pet projects like the Riddick franchise and so on.
