Hello Sistahs! Would you kindly fill me in on what happened to PopGAF?

Popgaf did their normal thing of spamming gifs in an unrelated thread. People complained, which led to various posters saying it was anti-LGBT behavior as gifs are part of gay culture. Then a bunch of posters kept arguing with mods about it all until a whole host of posters got banned. People then were holding vigils and shit and more got banned, then ModBost closed the thread and community for good, telling them to feel free to post gifs with their fallen members somewhere else.

As bad as a general page of BCT is, a random page of Wrasslegaf is literally 80% guys posting as characters, repeating something that has been said 100 times, or copy/pasting something from the Observer as their own thoughts. It's an unreadable community that hate watches wrestling even more than this thread hate watches GAF. Which is insane. For every 2 people that actually enjoy and want to talk about wrestling, you'll have 15 that just revel in self loathing and complaining about something they spend 7 hours a week watching. For the sake of those posters, that community needs to be banished.

I used to lurk and occasionally post in wrestlegaf when I was not a permanently banned member like Dennis, the character acting shit put me off so much, communities like SquaredCircle has their own problems but nothing as embarrassing as a bunch of adults roleplaying in a forum thread.

I read the Teen Vogue article this morning. It's really reaching in general, but one basic thing struck me most about the article being tosh. If using black reaction gifs were the problem, would "digital blackface" even be the proper term to use? The term is trying to tie the offensive act of blackface, being a white person intentionally and obviously pretending to be a black person for entertainment purposes, to posting a reaction GIF. Blackface and "digital blackface" have nothing to do with each other. I'm almost certain that better uses for the "digital blackface" term exist. There are probably multiple Twitter accounts of racist white folks presenting themselves as caricatures of black people.

DQ7 on 3DS is okay since there aren't better options, but DQ8 is playable on iOS and Android, both extremely far superior to 3DS. The 3DS is probably the worst game system ever made in relation to what was affordably available when the hardware was created. Pixels big enough to clog your urethra. Aside from DQ7 (best in series) if a game is exclusive to 3DS, the better option is just to skip it entirely. Playing games on 3DS is just not worth it.  The 3DS wasn't even close to a good proposition on the day it hit the market.

What's wrong with DQ7 on PSX?

I played through DQ7 on PS1 nearly entirely on cough syrup. It loooked WAY BETTER than the 3DS remake.

For real, Sega CD, 32x, Jaguar, whatever . . . There hasn't been a bigger hardware embarrassment than 3DS. Nintendo only survived because of good will and (eventually) a few okay games. It's the most embarrassing gaming system from a company with money to waste EVER.

The appeal of DQ games is in the story vignettes, characters, sense of adventure and classic turn based gameplay.

FF is for people who like dem graphic flash, glitz and bombast with no real substance or humanity present, just anime tropes through and through. It's the MCU of JRPGS, no wonder FF is more popular with bottle-fed smoothbrains. And don't even get me started on how much better SMT is than Persona.
