They're oyaji now, but they are a super cool j-metal band named after a classic story from a japanese author who himself took his name from Edgar Allen Poe.

I snagged a copy of Dead Kennedy's live album Mutiny On The Bay today. It's one of my faves. I put it next to Stop Making Sense and VU 69. The sound is crystal clear. Good mix of songs and Biafra's vocals are awesome

That's a shame. The Buckleys' father was my senior software engineering professor in college. Very nice and funny guy, he mentioned his sons were in a local band that was starting to gain statewide notoriety.

Put off listening to newest Halsey album when it came out because I assumed she couldn't top Manic anyway and I stupidly read what an artist says about their new album to make it sound important when I looked to see if the god-king himself Greg Kurstin was involved again. Then forgot. It doesn't have the same highs but she killed it again even without the god-king. I guess if you can't get the god-king you just settle for Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross to help you deliver. STAN THE MODERN KWEEN!

Midnights is alright, but the real KWEEN TAYLOR SLAY recent release is Red (Taylor's Version), I would have been leery to re-record such a good album after ten years even just to get the masters but

come at the kween, you best not miss.

I actually liked the new Sleeping with Sirens quite a bit too but I want to refuse to post any of their videos because they are the lamest looking "cool" dudes getting too old doing the lamest looking "cool band" things there's ever been in the industry and none of that seems to have changed. I'm really just afraid they'd see it ("hold up, what are they saying about the record on The Bire?") and think I'm encouraging them to continue rather than transitioning to respectable looking videos like many of their peers:
